1. STANDING ORDERS

This is the preferred method of payment.

Use standing orders for regular payments only, not 'one off' amounts such as admin fees.

  • Pay regular instalments of rent by standing order.
  • This is not the same as a direct debit – Salford Student Homes cannot "take" money from your account.  Payments are regulated by your bank, according to your instructions.
  • Salford Student Homes will normally ask you to sign a standing order mandate at the time of signing the contract.  Salford Student Homes will then present this to your bank on your behalf after taking a copy.  Should anything go wrong with the standing order we are then able to provide you with a copy for you to show your bank.
  • Occasionally Salford Student Homes will ask you to set up your own standing order.

To do this:

  • Ask Salford Student Homes to provide you with details of rent amounts and dates due.
  • Download the STANDING ORDER form
  • Fill in this form and take to your bank
